Cleaning Spark Plugs

Reminds me of my Laverda MontJuic. It was a pure race engined Formula 500 bike that somehow sneaked past he UK homologation reg's.

If left for more than a week unused - the ONLY way to get the blighter to fire was heat the plugs on my mums gas stove and put them in hot. I became rather adept at tank removal.

There was a specific pre-riding ritual required.

Probably too much fuel at low revs and not enough punishment
Thanks I haven't noticed that on mine but since she runs like a timex watch I have to admit I don't check them much. Anyway always good to learn something as long as its not alternative sex stuff
I'll stick with women

Have you tried one of the commercial spark plug cleaners? Sort of glass bleeding?

Rick
Not tried that - burning clean does not leave anything behind and takes 30 seconds each
