I just received my new version of Carpenters pipe and decided to post some pics from different angles for any member considering getting one but couldn't get a good enough view from Carpenters Facebook page.
As I stated previously after I get everything tidied up and running this weekend I'll do another report on what type of heat you feel off of these pipes. A couple members have reported that their Carpenter pipes came with a new set of exhaust gaskets well this one didn't but at least they're cheap enough.
Looks like with your standard controls the pipe might be closer to your leg then on the roadster As for the SC well stage 2 should clear but I am not sure about the stage 1. I would stick with the original style. But then I own three so I might be a bit bias
Nice sound..Was looking at the new sidewinder looks cool but the heat must be a problem. How much further do the headers come than the standard headers does your leg get really close.Would like to see close my leg gets before making a purchase..
@warp9.9 What brand of baffle do you have installed on that pipe? Also is the bracket that is just aft of the O2 sensor the only support for the megaphone? It looks like I may have to go with the Carp. pipe instead of a Reband.
I have been emailing back and forth to Reband for a while about it fitting the R3T and Ric said they finally had a T coming in last weekend to hang one on. Alas, the next message said that the pipe will NOT work on the Touring. Man, was I bummed! Olivia wrote me back and said Ric would sell me an un-chromed one that I could tweak and then get it plated. Just waiting on a response back from them if the issue was just the mounting point that, or the angle of the megaphone being upswept too much to clear the bags and supports (my guess is the latter)
Kudos to the folk at Reband though! They put up with me pestering the heck out of them (for months) and went out of their way to find a touring to try it on before I bought one.
