Car Tire

I'm new to this site, and I havn't bought my Rocket III yet. I have read that a rear tire doesn't last very long on a Rocket III. At the present time I ride a Honda Valkyrie with a car tire on the rear. Has anyone tried a car tire on the rear of a Rocket III? My first car tire lasted over 30,000 miles and I still had tread on it when I changed it out. I would probaly put a car tire on my Rocket III when the rear motorcycle tire wore out. A car tire on the rear of a motorcycle is not for everyone, but I like it. We have several members in the valkyrie club that have over 100,000 miles on their valkyrie's with car tires. I did a search and could not find any post's that mentioned Rocket III's running car tires. I'm not trying to start a flame war between running a motorcycle tire or running a car tire. Just passing along my experience with my valkyrie. Great site and I can't wait to get my Rocket III.
