Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

Nice packaging but I think I see room for one or two more modules there. Maybe a Tire Pressure Monitor?
Or Traction Control Modulator? Or maybe a sensor to determine orbit. Because that bike should alter the rotation of the earth!

I'm actually looking traction control kits, to help optimise acceleration and manage the power.
Trouble is there doesn't seem to be any for a Rocket, nor do manufacturers seem interested. Considering one for another Triumph triple e.g. 675 and modify where necessary, but it's a lot of money to take that chance on, warranty would be voided for one thing.
At least the Roadster has ABS already so those discs & sensors will lend themselves

Well after weeks of rain the weather finally dried up, downside was it got cold.
But as long as I avoided the ice and held on to the heated grips it was do-able. Able to pull over and hook up laptop since it was dry.
Break in and initial tuning now done, at last. I'm delighted to report the beast runs very smooth and goes like a scalded cat. I only went to max 28% throttle but it was enough to get used to the power.

Now on to the break in service.

Fingers were clinically dead for a while

Today it was raining again but that's ok I was doing some welding. Eyelets on the oil tank cap and 3 drain bolts, so they can be lockwired. This is a requirement for racing.
Lucky the K&N oil filter is lockwire ready.
You can get ready made lockwireable M14 x 1.5 bolts that will do the 2 sump drains, but the tank drain bolt and tank cap aren't so easy come by an alternative.

FYI track record is 8.6X sec iirc from a few years ago, top trap speeds around 180mph.

So watching it this year (April) I made the decision, time to bring the beast to these drag races next year.
If I combine my TTS stage 2 kit, Carpenter 240 kit, 2.5L Stroker kit, oh yes and some nice Lush Racing kit.... will it be enough to match a 700hp Busa, from a dig to a line 1320 feet away?
Maybe even beat it, and knock the guy off the top spot?

Will definitely put a cat amongst the pigeons, no doubt about that, well a big heavy cruiser amongst a sea of sport bikes anyway (see pic below).

Figure at the very least it will upset a few folk by embarrassing them on a daily driver big heavy cruiser that was rode in there that day (not trailered) with motor tax paid & displayed, license plate on, tank full of pump fuel, running everyday street tyres...

Reckon it can be done?

If not , you could always invade France !

A mildly interesting observation from break-in.
The bike seemed to accelerate swiftly enough from 50 - 80mph, with seemingly little effort (3 - 4000rpm in 3rd, quiet, relaxed... and only 28% throttle).
So this was compared to a stock Rocket's acceleration rate from 50 - 80mph, but they were at 100% throttle and maximum effort.

Makes you wonder what acceleration on the monster will be like when actually tuned and at 100% throttle too
