When Joesmoe said he put his side stand down in traffic I visualized the traffic was like a parking lot with cars at a complete stand still behind him. Not like someone was going to run into back of him and he wouldn't have time to make evasive actions.

I dunno. Joe might have it all fixed by now. I used 0000 steel wool to take some fine scratches off of my bearclaw with no harm noticed.
I second the ice idea, if you don't want to wait for it to burn off.

Actually it should be a tilt to the right, no?
A left tilt will actually increase the distance needed to reach the ground with the right foot, thereby forcing it in even closer to the motor and increasing the chance of burning a pant leg.
