BUMMER..another flat tire!

I have owned several bikes, cruisers, tourers, street and dirt. And have gotten nails, bolts, you name it in almost all of them. The size of the tire doesn't matter. If you hit something that is strong enough to puncture a tire, size doesn't matter. I had a few plugs in the original Metz before it finally lost all its tread. Good idea to have a kit onboard.

......................exakery why I went for Darkside only had 2 punctures after 40k klm on DS , had 3 on MC tire in 8k klm

****ed tires are gettin expensive! I saved the first one, figured I'd put a patch on the inside, and tube it, and put it on my hardley, but it would require a spreaded swing arm, and spacers, etc. etc.
I'm gonna plug this one, just so I can roll it around, and probably order another tire after I cool off. I've got a Harbor freight tire thing, with the motorcycle add on, just haven't bolted it down yet. Should be a lot of fun. Last rear I had done at the dealer, with a motorcycle tire machine, and it took 3 guys cursing to get it on. They probably don't want to see me again!
You have had some bad luck:eek: hope it does not come in three's as foer the MC shop struggling with the tyre the only reason they struggle is they do not have a decent machine, last time I had one put on at my local bike shop the owners sixteen year old boy changed it no problem while chatting to his girlfriend on the phone the whole time.

Old and Grumpy, yup, that's was it. When you live here, we call it the annual "stay out of town till after sundown" weekend. Way too much traffic, etc. etc.

And I will be soon. Have bought land on the river and hope to be building within the year. Maybe you can show me around sometime. I ride up that way periodically too..."to check on my land";)

Back home in most flat bed towings services have a bike rack to winch bike onto the rear. Happened to me last year on a ride to Thunder bay Ont Canada and got really good service. Cost me a new tire but what the heck that's what we pay for adventure.
