Bound to happen sooner or later...

I've got a set of miniature handcuffs as a key ring for my Speed Triple .. really really hard to stick to speed limits on that f#ckin thing i'll tell you.
As was said If you weigh up the occasional ticket against all the times you've got away with it .. you're laughing I reckon

...Pretty bummed out, but it could have been worse. My first and hopefully last speeding ticket. I thought I had all the unmarked cops in my mental inventory (We don't have many highways and thus I tend to twist the wick on a particular roadway) but somehow this afternoon managed to go by a white unmarked SUV doing 90 MPH...he was not impressed-well not entirely unimpressed.

He started by asking me a lot about the Roadster-how big is the engine, how many cylinders, ect. He actually said "I bet its hard to stay out of trouble with this motorcycle" He was so pleasant and impressed with the Rocket I thought I would get off with the proverbial "warning" but no luck...he did cut me a small break by reducing the speed infraction ten miles per hour, which brought the fine down to $160.00 USD and also instead of 6 points on my license it is only 4.

I don't mind the fine, and I guess the points will eventually go away, but I haven't gone the speed limit since I bought the **** thing! I am very accustomed to flying by the cages, and now...:(
I'm glad to see that you can have a bit of a sense of humor about it; "Be Safe"

Show up to court in person and plead guilty. Around here it would get you a defective speedometer violation, half the fine, and 0 to 1 points. The judge is going to look at the ticket and see 10 over, that you haven't had a ticket in a long time, and cut you a break. That's my guess. :0

Yeah, but you have a "get out of gaol free" badge. :sneaky:

True that be! I must also shamefully admit it has likely saved me a hundred or more pinches since then.
HYPOCRITE be me. :(

I won't comment on my driving record, but before the points system was in force unless you committed some horrific offense you just paid the fine and all was good, 40 years of driving multi combination heavy vehicles and lots of regulations it's not hard to rack up a few:)whitstling:dozen) offences,

So then, riding at the rear increases the odds, Amigo???

the one in the back takes the heat starts weaving and when he gets pulled over he tells the police he has a bee up his pants:cool:
