Bevel Box circlip

Just been looking at the parts diagram and I see there is a circlip (Part 11) in with the needle rollers. I've not seen this, I'd assume it's against the bearing edge to stop it coming out, but the diagram shows it in a different order? What the go?

Well, according to the pic, the bearing is in there, then the seal and then the circlip, on the outside of the seal. It's not like that, (on mine) ya take the cover off, take out the spacer then the seal, the clip (if it's there must be further in, next to the bearing.

Any circlip will be installed in a recessed groove with the ears exposed. If you can't see the ears, it's because you're looking from the wrong side or the clip isn't installed.
