A mechanic told me that retaining the long air inlet going to the underseat airbox retains the torque of the motor whereas putting pods on like the popular K&N pods mod delivers power at the expense of torque. If this is true are there 'Performance'filters to replace the stock one to go under the seat?My Triumph Dealer tells me that using anything but a genuine Triumph air cleaner under the seat creates tune problems.Any one confirm this? The stock air intake certainly sucks in the dust where it is and I cant help but think there would be less dirt in the filter if the intake was further up the front of the bike.I travel on a dirt road occasionally.
