Bedliner paint job?

Taking a bit of a poll here... Just bought a pretty 06 R3 se with the blue tribal graphics.

Was in a low speed collision that toasted the front fender and dented the tank (less than 1/2 inch in, 3 inches around - handlebar hit).

Never had a bike that wasn't black before, only bought this one because of the screamin deal. (01 valkyrie, 04 blown zx10r)

Now I love the matte look, was thinking one of the thinner bedliner sprays (not the thick rubbery linex/rhinoliner stuff) would give a tough, goodlooking finish.

Thoughts? Is the se blue too nice to cover? (The wife wants to keep it blue... matches her eyes.)

Finally, I can't find the triumph paint code in the lists posted for the cereulus. Anybody?

If you like the matte look why not go to an automovite paint supply and buy matte paint. Bedliner ? Seriously ?

I like everything about the bedliner paint job except the "stick-um" chrome plastic door edging around the perimeter.

I've been a fan of stone-guard as a finish since a friend back in the 80's used it on the front of his Beetle. He painted in on the front end in the shape a "Bra" would have been. He didn't have the money in high school to buy a hundred dollar strap-on, so he masked it off and sprayed $10 worth of undercoating where it would have gone, then covered that in flexible flat black spray paint. I thought it looked awsome, another guy copied it but used a different color.

To each his own as that's what makes the world go around, but to me those matte finishes look hideous. They remind me of my high school days when the poor kids would run around driving their "work-in-progress", POS cars that had primer on them, but no paint.

Why not go for nice shade of purple?
