Battery again

I got the charger tonight. BTW I had harley davidson battery on my rocket ;-). I have three options on my charger 2A, 8A and 12A @ 12V. I am not sure how many amp my battery is ... its not written on it. Any ideas if I can charge it on 8A or 12A?. Currently its chargin on 2A.

it says 19Ah Dual terminal on the battery...I don't know what it means ;-)
 
The faster you pump in the current (higher Amps) the hotter the battery gets. If it is really dead you can start at a higher setting but don't leave it there for very long. 15-30 minutes max. Then finish to full charge with the lowest setting. Ideally you have an ammeter on the front of your charger and once you get down to .5 to 1 amps of current flow you turn it off. Unless your charger has automatic trickle/refresh built in you should never charge for more that 6-12 hours on a motorcycle battery, 24 max on a car battery. Really it is always best to use the bike or cars charging system to fill it up. Should be no more than a 20 minute drive.

Just now I put the fully charged battery gain. It started fine and after 2-3 sec it turned off while idling and its not starting again after so many tries and I see the same issue (the odometer indicator leds are ON even the when the keys are out ) So i guess a SHORT problem for sure. I am gonna hve to tow it to the dealer today.
 
Get them to look at the ignition barrel wires/solder joints. Get yourself the Eastern Beaver relay mod kit & fit that when the shop has fixed the bike.. even if it's NOT this problem, unless you do the relay mod, it's gonna let you down sometime. ( easy to do , circa 60- 90 mins work, dependant on how many beers ya drink whilst doing it!)( Atomsplitter did a write up on it which Eastern Beaver used for their instructions!)
