Balancing the Throttle Bodies

Well, looks like Amazon Prime free returns to the rescue. I just need a way to segregate the wires at both ends. I feel confident I can figure something out.

You could just buy a similar fitting from Ali Express and crimp it on the the hose easy enough but the mechanic at the dealers said if there was a problem down the line then my warranty would be void.....

When I changed the air filter on my bike, I only propped the tank up. I didn't have to remove it or disconnect any electronics. Looking at the diagrams I don't know if I see for a need to remove the tank for the plenum removal if its not needed for the air filter renew procedure, but I could be overlooking something.

When I removed the tank last time I was also changing the spark plugs and fuel filter, so I didn't even think about the possibility of not having to remove it for just the air filter.

The manual does call for removing the tank for this procedure, but you've done it without so, obviously, it is possible. I would be concerned about stressing that fuel line connection, which is plastic. But if you're careful, might be the way to go.

I have all necessary parts on the way, but I'll take your advice once they arrive and see if I can do it without removing the tank all the way.

Can you get to the adjusting screws from this angle?

i haven't done it yet (although it is on my to do list, after coolant flush and brake and clutch fluid renew, AND having to mount a bridgestone exedra because no one has cobra chromes in stock). the adjustment screws look to be under the plenum cover which isn't obstructed by the tank. I think the thought behind the tank removal is to clear the intake runner? but i could be missing something.

I predict you won't go back to the Cobra for a number of good reasons.
