bad rear drive unit?

Hi, sanga from Australia. Traded my 05 rocket111 in December06 on a blue and white rocket111, had problems with the bike stalling until recall was done, now at 6000kms I have a major noise coming out of drive shaft. took to dealer, it has now been sitting there for 6 weeks, Triumph Australia keep telling me it will be another week to get the parts and it is becoming a known problem world wide, anyone else out there had this problem on tthis 07 classic model? Anyone got suggestions on what more I can do to get satisfaction, to me it's just not good enough when you pay so much for a brand knew moto!!! I feel like shoving it where the sun don"t shine, if they don't do something soon, Triumph will get no good advertising from me!!All I want to do is to keep on enjoying the ride but no hope in sight of that!!

Search the threads using the 'search' feature. Volumes have already been written here about the problem, the fix and the dealers attitude. No point in rehashing it again. It's all here.

Having said that, welcome aboard. There is lots of good information here if you spend some time looking around. Some, not so good too.

Hi sanga welcome. Did your dealer say it was the output shaft bearing?
