back pad confusion

Ok, finally decided to let the wife start going on real rides and ordered the tall sassy bar. It doesnt come the the backrest pad. So I'm on Shoptriumph.com and they list 2 different backrests for a classic. I cant tell the difference from the pics, there is no description on either, one is 55 bucks, the other is 69. Anyone know the differences? Is one really $14 better? Any good sites other there with better prices? What other backrest pads will fit, other than Triumph? Any more comfortable or look better?

One matches the stock seat and the other is a gel pad to match the gel seats.. That's the only difference.. If you're not using the gel seats, then get the cheaper pad.. If you are using the gel seats, the gel pad matches them.

That makes sense. Do you know of any other non triumph back pads taht will fit? Does anyone?

Snuffcityrider made his own and then sent it to Russel Day Long (he has one of their seats) to have it covered to match, I don't think anyone else makes one specifically for us.

Don't let your wife see Snuff's couch-like seat and back rest, or if she gets the chance, don't let her sit on it, or you'll be shoveling out the dough..
