Just wondering what an average rear tyre is worth, I've done some shopping around where I live and the best price I got was $389 fitted. ( I take the loose wheel in )
The worst was $440
This was for the Mets Marathon
Avon was around the same

G'day Dan , see you're a NSW Owner , sorry can't help with who to see but ....

I pay $300 flat for rear Metzler ME880 at Tyres for Bikes in Brisbane .. that's riding the bike in ... and i'll be reminding whoever I get my tyres from here in Albany of that when time comes ;)

I just had a Avon Cobra rear fitted locally to my R3T for $325 drive in drive out with the rear spline on the drive shaft greased ,admittedly the touring has a smaller rear tyre than the other 3s,

Bridgestone Exedra Max is cheaper and a better tyre than both Metz or Avon. Lasts longer, grips better and rides softer. It's higher profile but that's all positive in my opinion.

Be going the Bridgestone next time myself .. with those Showa air shocks I scored the Bridgestone will give me back the half inch i'll be loosing with the 12 inch shockies .. win win.

I have heard good reports on the Bridgestone Exedra Tyres , but old habits die hard ,I have been riding on Avon tyres as replacements of OEM tyres for nearly 50 years ,Ah the fantastic old Avon Speedmasters ,kept me alive over the years,
