Hey, read some good stuff about these Made in USA HotGrips http://www.hotgrips.com/product_detail.php?ID=475-100 (New England)..I need heated handlebar warmers for commuting in Tasmania in Winter but I feel the Trumpy ones too dear and the Taiwanese ones down ere, I am a little skeptical of. Anyone put these on a Rocket so far?Apparently they have to be installed by a machinist!
Thanks idk...They sound the business.Reckon I will take the punt and get em for the 'ol hippo(Rocket.....I hope people dont take my tag literally! ) as Tassie's Winter is not that far away, though its nothing compared to what some other riders put up with from what I gather!
I, too, have the Triumph ones. Only complaint is the kloogie switch...big and boxy, but, oh so warm, actually hot on high. They were great riding through the cold rain while on my great adventure.
I also have the Triumph heated grips. Work good as any but my gripe with any heated grips are they can take a good 5 to 10 minutes to feel the warmth through heavy winter gloves and sub40F (4.4C) temperatures. Get below the freezing mark and they're not much good at all. Best to go with the heated gloves then.
