Anybody tried sportster bars with Rivco Risers?

But he can make that monster of his go , wound it up a little on one straight , sounded awesome ( when he gets the pipes fitted , uber cool , owls sound with super charger go go ) and smooth on the twisties

Yeah, thanks for that great pic Perds, gives me a good idea of what they would look like.Years ago my Low Rider Sport had Sporty bars as stock gear and i quite liked that set up..I think the Risers would be neccessary though as i sit behind a 20"Windvest.
Question ;Did you have to change the stock cabling, brake lines & clutch cable?
Pretty much half of my 40000klm ridden on the R3 has been on a tight twisty very bumpy mountain road that you often can only do about 70kph at the most in some places.I believe this combination of riding with the stock bars has given me a chronic elbow condition that has strangely moved from the right to the left arm.(well that excludes self -abuse!)
Thus the move to Valk bars so far. When you say there is more effort at slow speed with the Sporty bars , it makes me wonder if that could exacerbate the arm probs.Hey this is serious ya know, it interferes with me raising a beer to my face  at times!

No cable changes as the bars are lower, narrower and less pull back. Even with risers stock cables will be fine.

I only really noticed the extra effort when pushing it around my driveway, once moving it's barely perceptible. I spend most of my time riding the twisties in North Wales and I've never noticed any ill effects.

If it effects your ability to lift a beer, just move on to JD, works for me.

Still too much standard stuff on it Rab. It's Pazzo levers n Predators next.
I travelled through Wales as a nipper and the roads and countryside reminded me of Tasmania somewhat(minus Eucalypt forests!).I am very pleased to hear that the Riser/Sporty bar combo doesn't require cable, etc change.
Just to clear things , the Nightster bars are simply Sportster bars black arent they?I have heard that there are a few variations of Sporty bars, you see.

Hippo,
I think they are the same, but just in case I went to a HD dealership and found a Nightster on display and asked the parts guy to order me the bars for it.

Owl,
"Perdy arranged the rideout & led it - it would of been bad manners to overtake him, otherwise me & Sully would have had him"
Yeah mate, and then you woke up.

Sully,
"On every corner and on the straights . But as Owl says he had to lead , and we let him"
If only you hadn't been held up by Mr. Owl.

Blue,
"Thanks for clearing that up! Sounds like he has the refreshments too!"
**** right. Need to keep the power to weight ratio down to let the boys keep up.

No but I am about to try the stock Triumph bars with my Rivco risers. They are on the way. My Classic bars just don't do it for me.

Gasket, try the Valkyrie bars first.I am suspicious the angle of the stock bars may cause ergonomic troubles , which i am convinced gave me a lotta pain .My elbow problems have decreased significantly weeks after installing the Valk bars.
