Already sold out

Thanks warp it looks the serial ## are on the right side of the line and that's why I say roadster instead of standard, I just want the updated tranny. I checked cycle trader before I went out and must have just missed that bike, unless CT doesn't scope ebay, anyhow I wrote a pretty fat check for the SD so i'll be riding it a couple of years. As for having 3 bikes in the garage...the bike on ebay will probably be gone by the time I work that one out.

Crazy how a couple years ago you never saw a r3 on the road now by me I see them daily

nice steve... this is a great forum for the 1290 KTM Super Twins Forum - Active topics
i was waiting for the gt version and its got some nice additions but priced above 20 k.. ill do what you did and geta 15 for 13k. for the diff i can do custom paint and even bst carbon rims. im sure the adjustable windshield and cruise control from the 1290gt will work on the 1290 r also.
r3 stock .17 p/wht
1290 stock .40 p/wt more than double... glad to know i wasnt the only one whose throttle arm went numb on the r3.

THE Kawasaki ZX14 0wners love picking on the SUPERDUKES as a couple showed up at the biker hangout and the Owners started bragging about beating all the Sport bikes that was a mistake as they ended up being flogged badly by the regular group that meets for breakfast every sunday

I'm very happy for the zx14 owners. Most of the riders on this forum are mature enough to let their bikes and riding skills speak for themselves. Most riders know the performance oriented nakeds can challenge a 600RR but usually stop at that.

HEY I dont see the point of the big expensive nakeds that dont offer any advantages over the open SPORTS bikes that out perform them in everyway and cost far less

I'v seen you around and know you like to stir things up. I called for a quote on insurance for the S1kr, not the rr just the single r and was told $1700.00. My sd1290 cost me $14k new, ins is $300. a year full with roadside and addl $3500 acc replacement. price a zx14 lately, how bout trying to ride one all day? the SD is easy on the knees, back, and neck in fact the only part of my body that feels any discomfort are my shoulders from holding on when I give it the juice. I am not the guy that walked into the diner bragging, in fact reading your last post YOU ARE. ride safe bro

I think the point is you don't need to see the point. Not everyone rides to beat other bikes. A lot of people actually choose their ride for a whole range of reasons - straight out performance not necessarily being one of them. I ride because I like it and I can think of several bikes I'd be very happy to own even as my only ride. Only one of them can be the fastest.

Now there you go being sensible.

Cut it out! Immediately!
