The Aux plug finally arrived so I set about installing it. The hardest part is getting the plug & wire to where it's needed, took ages. 2nd hardest part (for me) was getting the rubber boot on over the plug. I tried normal way, then inside out then inside out with lube, nope wasn't having it. It was more difficult than you'd expect as I had no extra wire I could get out to get a good grip on things. Then the light bulb went on, I got some circlip pliers that open when squeezed, put them in the small end of the rubber boot & presto, the boot spread open so I could easily get it over the plug. The rest is as the fitting instructions, went easy after that.
So the point of this is a tip, to use circlip pliers to open the boot enough to slip over the plug. Happy daze all.
For any accessory part, you can punch the part number into www.triumphinstructions.com and get the install guide. The aux socket pdf is at Aux Socket The hardest part for me after routing the cable to where it needed to go was that it was about an inch too short, so getting the waterproof boot...
