A inside look at a GiPro

I've been having trouble with my GiPro for the last few months. It would display the wrong gears and when in neutral it would flash between N and some random gear. It would also just go completely dead. I've done a reset and went through the "learning" process with no luck. The other day it just died completely. I emailed the company in Hungary and they sent me a nice reply and offered to repair it under warranty but I had to send it to Hungary. I'm not bashing the GiProI just decided to go with the simple resistor mod. If anything, the folks that make the GiPro stand behind their product. Who else gives a two year warranty. It was a cool little magic box when it worked. What can I say, I have bad luck. I know there are lots of people running the GiPro so I figured maybe there are some people wondering what the hell is in that black box.

What is the simple resistor mod? I am thinking of the GIPRO route but have yet to make a firm decision. Looking to get all I can from the R3T and be cost effective while doing it.
