2nd Gear Replacement Query

Hi rocket brains trust. I am in then process of replacing the 2nd gear and dog and other bits and pieces in the trans on a 2008 Rocket. I have received the replacement kit T1180188 and it appears that the dog is not correct, as the old one was an 8 tooth dog the new one is only 4 tooth. If anyone is able to advise me it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the details, I am very confused as this was supplied by Fowlers with the triumph part number T1180188 2nd dog and gear upgrade? I am trying to locate someone in Australia that will undercut the gears, although it wasn't popping out of gear but just not engaging without grinding.
