255 Horsepower R3!!!

My friend Art just sent over this dyno sheet showing the results of the latest 240 Kit work done over at Carpenter Racing on a customer's 2007 Standard Rocket III. As you can see, the bike was shut down before it hit its 9,000RPM redline.

Just the sort of gains I expect to see when I have Mr. Carpenter goose my motor next month. WOW!

Can't help my self, have to ask the question
How much money this guy spent to get that much power?
I mean, from the moment he left the bike there to the moment he wrote the check,
gotta see if is doable:eek:

While the horsepower number gets your attention, I find the torque numbers most impressive. That's a whole lot of usable oomph over a very wide range.

Well done Carpenter!!

About 6K whether you rebuild the inside of the motor or bolt something on the outside. Of course if you are like Warp, and do both, your are out a bunch.

The way I am beginning to understand, it isn't how much you spend to make the hp, it is how much more you spend making sure it gets to the rear wheel without slipping something or breaking something.

C'mon, Lupe! You know it's doable... just sell that "new" Horrible in your stable!:p

Lord help me, I love spending other people's money so very much!;)

yep

255 & 191

Not bad s'pose we all gotta start somewhere:D:D:D
you are a hard man Tri, but yeah, i hear ya. Stage 3 for me will be ' GO WITH THE BLO' , S/C of course. Since Warps the unofficial crash test dummy [no offence Warp]
and a mate,i will be able to get the tech support needed. Plus i will have Pedro's experience and been there, done that, expertise but,Hell,i don't pretend to be anywhere smart enuff to tackle this task on my own. However,i have a more pressing $$$$ absorbing project. My new  {old} 1967 ford f100 swb truck.Running a strong 4 bolt main cleveland 351/c6 auto/9 inch combo, disc's all round just needs a refresh, body wise, small rust removal, followed by a very sedate purple/creme paint job.there go's $10k ausd, that i don't have:(....yet :D

I have to doubt the sanity of anyone that follows the route Scott & I took.
400hp/300ftlb sounds very nice but on the street 255hp/191ftlb would be more usable IMHO, I find getting the big power down is not easy.
