Rocket III
This year I decided to start a new life...
Got rid of my old Harley and bought a real bike, a Rocket III year 2005.
In autumn I was going to an authorized Triumph work shop for a scheduled overhaul and the mechanic there told me it was wrong software (depending on the exhaust pipe) in the bike and he changed the software to 20352.
After that the bike felt very tired, should have saved the first map before going to the work shop ...
So I guess he was putting in a standard map with second throttle values way under 100%
The question is, is it wise to use a 20352 map on a Rocket III from 2005???
According the list one should use 20222 map on this bike...

Any thoughts???

You wrote "scheduled overhaul" You meant scheduled maintenance, right?

20352 is a Roadster tune. It shouldn't even be compatible with a 2005. Do you have stock mufflers or TORs/cat bypass?

Exhaust is stock and what I know the cat is not bypassed...

This should be original exhaust pipes, or???

That is what I use for my bone stock 05, except I changed the secondary throttle settings to 100% all the time. Bike runs great.

Definitely the way to go - use free TunECU software and a $20 cable.

I already have all the equipment for making the connection and also TunECU, the remaining thing now is to figure out if I need to drop the 20352map and downgrade my 2005 R3 to 20222map. If I stick with the 20352map at least the secondary throttle needs to be modified top torque on high gears are missing and also the nice "acceleration" torque in low gear I'm use to is gone, I also had some nasty torque when I was taking of from idling, that I can live with out, but the rest I want back...

On the other hand I need to do some investigation and see if I have a stock exhaust or a TOR and a stock cat, I suppose one should be able to see some crutches & welding marks on the lower part, from opening the cat if that has been done...
