2024 GT had a short that would cause all lights to flicker. Dealer could not find the fault.
One month later bike would not start,
I removed the seat and burned my hand on the + pos terminal.
Fule pump cycles, gages light as normal. Battery reads 12.89 VDC.
First question did "Lucas" wire our bikes ?

I can hear something else cycling on the bike other than the f pump No fumes were blown or other burnt wires. This is leading me to the main starter lead as it is not fuzed and no burnt wires. your thoughts ?......
Starter shorted....?

Is the goast of Sir Lucas trying to convert the bike back to a + positive ground system sorry sorry just trying to lighten things up.
Any thoughts you have will be appreciated.
Jim

Joseph Lucas got a bum rap.
It was the wiring harnesses by the lowest bider that caused trouble.

My '74 Commando with 56,000 miles, original zener diode & bridge rectifier.

These females all cracked, hidden in the rubber, creating variable connections...
