2023 Triumph Rocket 3 GT Chrome
So, my 2023 R3 with 2700 miles on it keeps popping up code P2111, throttle control actuator stuck open, and won't start for me, but I took it in to the dealership, where they had it for 3 weeks, of which according to them it never had a code and started every single time. We finally agreed that I'd come pick it up, where it did start and run perfectly fine. Ran it for an hour, before heading home because of the cold. Woke up and went to move it only for the code to be back immediately and it wont start again.
I find it insanely hard to believe that it never once had a code during the 3 weeks they had it, only for it to immediately code and wont start for me.
Does anyone have any ideas? This bike is like 3 months old, less than 3k miles, and I just want it to run like it should.

Welcome to Triumph service. Never heard of that, but they kept mine 6 months of the first year I owned my brand new Rocket 3GT "looking" for a brake gremlin. I'd be betting they started yours once and didn't have a problem.
I have a GPS tag in it, so I've watched them move it, even take some test rides with it. And when I was on the phone with him before I went to pick it up, he went out to turn it on just to check.

Different atmospheric and or temperature conditions?
My TFT display fizzes out to a black screen pretty much every time the engine gets very hot, say when stuck in traffic on a hot sunny day, but has never done it in any other condition. The rest of the time it seems to work fine.
I took it to my dealer with a detailed explanation of the problem but they said they couldn't replicate the problem, so for now, I just live with the issue.
Not quite so easy for you live with, when your engine won't run.

So it sounds like not only do they not know how to deal with the problem the dealer doesn't know how to deal with you.
Go to google and in the search bar type 2023 triumph rocket 3 code p2111. You will more than likely not get an answer on the rocket but may get enough info to help you understand what is going on.
What i will do is treat you like you were my customer so as soon as i talk to you i am going to want to know everything that was happening before it failed to start .
Weather conditions hot/cold rain/sun
Garage/outside ect.
Was it the first thing in the morning or after it was warmed up did you drive it in if so how did it start?
My computer is at the shop along with the problems of running a shop lol so can not search.
Going to do some guessing the code deals with the drive by wire throttle assembly and the throttle assembly.
I would recommend caution when riding (remember the toyotas that would just take off but you could pull in the clutch)
Time for coffee and muffin will continue after the break

You win the time kept by your dealer. My 05 was in the shop around 3 to 4 months in 08 I believe. It was the TPS but they didn't know or care about that. My 05 was running rough and would die every 10 or so times stopping at lights or stop signs. When they gave it back to me they said they couldn't figure out what was wrong and stated "We decided to not charge you." My 05 Rocket ran so badly and so much worse after they had it I had to get rid of it. They fu**** up the engine. I was in the dealer 2 weeks ago for the new Master cylinder and they said they would call me when it came in...crickets... They are really nice guys and very personable so it may be just the 'Big' people at Triumph. I have to agree with Stingray, they started it once and signed off on it as a Figment of your imagination. Here they are so busy when you get their attention is like winning the lottery (except they get all of the money.) As I have stated many times before, warranty work pays a lot less money, and the dealers have a ton of paperwork so they actually have to work so they are in no hurry to get it done or even deal with it.

Do you have ODB MX or LX+ scan tool and Tuneecu software?

Continuing after coffee
If i can not experience the problem then i tell the customer to drive the vehicle and if the problem happens again then give me all the information they can.
Things to do
You could with/without key o
Do wot then let fly to try to get throttle tps ect free
Now the obd mx is a good idea (like said)
Now if the ecu thinks the throttle is wot it might think that it is clearing flood mode and not letting injectors fire or it simply won't let it start because of the code.
I think that the lack of dealer interest you need to tell us everything that you can.
If you have the obd mx then you could take screen shots of the information you find and show to dealer.

I had given them all that additional information, including videos of the lights, attempted starts, and even a picture of the code that was present on my reader.
It was about 35°F out while I was riding, first time it occurred was after I had made a quick ride over to the doctors office in the morning, about a 12 minute ride one way. I had let it run for just a quick minute before I had left, but I was in a hurry to leave the doctors office I hadn't let it idle before I left there.
I had ridden it when it was warmer after I had gotten the bike back the first time, and got left stranded at work, it was about 55° out then.
I don't do full sends with the bike, and I feel I shift early, and keep the rpms kind of low.
All the times that the code was not present, it would start up immediately, including last night when the code was gone again. Will check soon to see if it's back.

When it codes up try to work the throttle a few times.
again I have not studied the late rocket drive by wire.
But most systems have a tps in the throttle assy and in the actuator and will work on a 5 volt reference that the ecu will cross reference and if a voltage reading is off it will set a code
The problem is going to be either the throttle asy or the actuator asy or bad wires if it is under guarantee then pressure dealer to fix. If they say they don't know what is wrong then tell them to replace both assy.
If not under check the prices to see if you can replace the cheapest one.
You need a scanner that will read the voltages while it is working good
Then read while it is failing (not after you drive it home or the next day test it asap)
