Hey Ya’ll! Glad to be part of this group (brand new). Looking for any advice / suggestions on helping my old, achy, football beat-up body be a little more comfortable on longer stretches on my new-to-me 2021 R3 GT. Currently pretty stock with panniers and a small windshield. Would LOVE options on highway pegs / floor-boards, comfier seat, and larger windshield.

I know this is not a touring bike but just looking to wring-out a little more comfort for over-the-road trips. Loved my old 2011 R3T with a Russell Daylong Saddle on it. Could go all day, for sure. Same on my Indian RM DH. I will say, however, just got the R3 GT 2 days ago and rode it home from Milwaukee (620 miles) and it was not terrible, although I was ready for each fill up! I don’t prefer the forward controls (which I have), but no way I could have made that ride without stretching my legs (I’m 6’3, 275 lbs) over the pegs for relief on my total knee replacements.

Again, looking for any feedback! Thanks in advance!

I have balky knees too, so I moved my pegs all the way BACK and that made it comfy all day for me. Turns out with more bend in my knee the less vibration my knees get. To move them back you remove the short link on the shifter side and you just move it back on the brake side. Takes about 30 minutes. I also had the exhaust manifold Cerakoted and added carbon fiber heat shields to reduce the heat on my right thigh when I'm at stops, worked a treat.

First season on R3GT, just crossed 10k mi, lot of cross-state travel and weekending.

Can vouch for the medium powerbronze screen being modest in footprint but really effective, though being 5’8” to your 6’3”, results may vary.

Also, while my Corbin experience was… convoluted and protracted, the result is a firm, comfortable seat and good looks.

I just came in from the garage messing with my "grand tourer" 2024 GT. I'll be sending in the seat in about 10 days to Russel for my 4th day long from them. I did some highway leg rests, and some mid peg leg rests. I got a huge custom size windshield from California Scientific. I'm 6'5" with a long torso, so I'm sure you wont need anything quite so monstrous. I had some space behind the dash after the windshield was in, so I ordered a windshield bag for a Harley road king from Moto pockets. Also made some lower air blocking "wings" for the forks. That helped a lot with wind blowing up my legs up under my chin and in my face.
