2014 final drive

don't through your old final drive away i will pay the freight if u give it to me. i want to see if i can rebuild these.
They are totally rebuildable if they only have leaky seals, that is part of the info I have. I'm at work on night shift ATM so will get back to you when I wake up tomorrow.
The only the splined coupling is not replaceable but they can be made at a price.

i had a crazy idea that it might be possible that u could flip that collar and press it back on if it was not damaged to bad?

I have a few photos of how to setup the backlash as well. Any questions just ask.

Thanks Doc
I appreciate the trouble you took to post the pics and drawings, they are very nice and will save me time when I try to repair/build one of these final drives. This is the first really good info that I have seen. I have offered to work on a couple but they wound up going a different route.
I see what you mean. I will not be able to flip the collar.
Thanks again.
I have an automatic transmission shop if you ever need info just hollar.

hello to all I have an 06 classic final drive is leaking bad can get my hands on a 2014 one for a good price question is will it fit cheers
Could you confirm that the 2014 model the final drive's off of, is a Roadster and not a Touring? The Touring won't work on an 06 period (already posted previously). I think the splined female coupling on the 2014 Roadster final drive pinion is also different from the 06 Classic. You might have to change the driveshaft also. Can someone confirm...

The angle of 87 Degrees is noted on the Black versions for R3 Roadster onwards and 90 Degrees for R3 Touring from 2008 onwards. The 2004-2009 R3 Silver Standard/Classic ones are 87 Degrees as well with at least different paint.
