2 tire options, which one

I would feel a little squiggle when leaned past the snakeheads and into the dots, which served as a “reminder” but never felt was in danger.
The excedra rear lays over much more willingly, feels a bit grippier if a tad softer. Really a shot in the arm handling-wise, overall.

Found these marks on both sides of the tire, in a few places. I guess I found my problem...the marks run off into the side wall. So I guess there is less traction at the edge, and I probably felt it let go when it went over into the sidewall. New bike to me, so I wasnt pushing too hard, no pegs, just dragging my heels occasionally. The guy I bought it from thinks these are the original tires. Does the exedra, or another tire have more tread going over to the side?

Yes, the exedra doesn't have the little dots, that I guess are there as a warning, as said. That's probably the "squirming" I felt. Haven't felt it with the exedras. But haven't scraped pegs at all with them either. This is what I got with the original chromes. With quite a bit of scraping. Until I got used to knowing how much it could lean.
