I love touring with my GT, but my wife does not ride so I cant remark on two up touring.

At 75, my biggest problem with my GT is i cant seem to pick my right leg up high enough to get off it.. The backrest is all the way down, but still too high for me.
Remove backrest?

To do it, u have to purchase a kit for over $150 to fill the holes in the tail section. Big job getting to the underside of the fender too.. Found that out when i installed
the Tidy Tail license plate relocator and turn signals.
How's your left leg range of motion?!

Left leg same problem.. At my age nothing is easy. What i do is put the bike on the stand and slide off the bike with my right leg sliding off the seat.How's your left leg range of motion?!
Being short doesnt help either.
Nice if you could get a tall heal added to shoe or boot. That way shifting not affected.
But then walking might fall forward.

Being short and old is not a good combo on this bike, but i love it.!!
I also ride a T-120 when not on the Rocket.. No problems on that one.. After riding the Rocket, the T-120 is like riding a Schwinn Bicycle..
