1/8mi drag race Touring vs the GT

Good numbers Kevin. Congrats. I have the oil issue when really cranking the RPM. I blew out the dipstick once. So then I plumbed the breather into the back of the RamAir. Yeah that doesn't work to well either. FCCR call my Rocket "Exxon Valdez". Looking for a new way to vent the crank this winter. I'm open to suggestions.

Day is done, wild ride for the win! Yes thats oil on the rear tire. Could not lift against Konrad, bike was all over.

thats oil on ticket, and tire😂 i told konrad i was gonna wave bye by the 300’ mark, he led the whole way and turned to wave at me b4 finish line and i snuck bye him at line😂 we both laughed are butts off. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good😂 what a blast!
Good times and speeds.

Kevin, I have no experience racing engines but I've read that using a vacuum pump to create a vacuum in the crankcase can reduce blowby gases by helping to elimate foaming in the oil. It also helps with the horsepower because the pistons do not have to compress the air in the crankcase on the downstoke which robs horsepower. I also read this helps prevent ring flutter (???) which is a power robber. I would second the use of a puke tank to catch any fluids coming out of the crankcase in the blowby gases... Try and get your vent as high up in the engine as possible... possibly drilling out the valve cover.

I also appreciate all the pics and posts you've provided. Keep it up. Great post!!!!

I would think with the dry sump systems we have on our bikes we might have some neg. pressures already and dry sumps would also reduce the foaming of the oil because the sumps are holding less oil in the pan vs. conventional oil sump systems. This would reduce oil being churned by crank and rods whipping through stored oil. I don't know anything about the vacuum pumps in this usage. When season in done. fix the reasons for blow-by. Raising the vent higher is a good idea, drag cars do it all the time.

That was a nice ride down memory lane. Kevin my hopes for you are better numbers than mine. Of course what we all need to know is FCCR made me keep my Rocket at full dress. I wanted to strip it down but he said no. I said OK. Ill beat you anyway. I did. I do wonder what numbers my Rocket will do stripped down. One day I'll find out.
Your a funny boy but I guess you've forgotten the time you stripped your bags, windscreen, exhaust pipes off at the drag strip. Plus changed the fueling..It took a hour or so to put the stuff back on so you could ride it home. Same result as before😄😄

You said you wanted your 200 horsepower Rocket 3 to beat the Thruxton R ....I wasn't aware you needed deconstruct your bike to do that. Maybe an airshifter, wheelie bar, some nitrous and Ricky Gadsden riding the Rocket 3 would make fairer?😄😄
