I blew out 4th gear on my 05 1k miles after 40k service. Looking for an engine that will fit, not sure if other years will bolt up. Any ideas? or where I can get transmission repaired.

Why not get the transmission fixed? 40K miles isn't that much.
 

What vin number is the cut point in 08 when the upgrades started? I am planning on hopping up the engine that I get and want to be sure there are no more transmission problems.
