Tis more gaudy than a gay pride parade, but I likey. If available in a manly size, I'd likely purchase one for casual wear. I bought a similar, but solid color, jacket from the Outlaw Josey Wales about a year and a half maybe 2 years ago and I wear it everyday.

Why - So your wife and daughter could both flog you with it or would you keep it 'Off base' and put your wet weather gear on before you get home, regardless of the weather.:D
No it’s cos I’d be thinner

I know this thread is all about the jackets , and how small us English fellas are ahem !
But that montage of Steve's (pops ) , photos gets me every time . I don't care what jacket you wear Oldbul , you are and always will be my hero !

Brit clothing does seem to run on the muy pequeño (European sizing) side.;) Assumedly, that can befuddle we furriners.
Confuses the living daylights out of me. Esp now it seems a 44" is XL and no longer L. And don't get me started on the lanky or tubby numbering system. WTF can't they say XX" (or cms)? Inches and cms have not grown or shrunk afaik.

Sizing is difficult with 48 or XL sometimes being subjective. I wear a size 48 sports coat/suit jacket and all of my motorcycle jackets are XL. I bought a nice cotton safari style jacket on ebay in an XL and it was way too tight.

Ishrub, I'll get with you in a PM to see what we can do. I have three leather jackets, actually 4, counting the one at my son's in Maryland. One is a beautiful Hein Gericke Dakar that got bit too small over the years and one a really old worn out Wild One style. I'm liking that leather Rocket jacket because, well after all, I've got a Rocket again. Those are all good looking jackets though.

Yup and just as it is with their peculiar habit of driving on the wrong side of the road, they have followed suit with zippers and sometimes buttons being obversed. I guess you Euros favor lefties?
