your advise please

My red one didn't vibrate loose  JD, and mine came from stuff that fell off a black one.:D

Welcome to the site. Go with the red/black one for the R3T, the only ones I ride with are red (Scot and Baggage1) as they are the only ones that can keep up. And since Scot has a totally Red one he is probably faster than me, Baggage1 has one also but I hear he is keeping a low profile after a warning ticket at RA1V. As for the black ones, don't know they don't even bother to go against us....and don't even try keeping up with us in the rain.....we are very experienced in "wet" riding.

As far as performance I have ridden the R3T (the blue one) and it is plenty fast for being detuned a little. You will not be disappointed in your choice.

as for all the bikes I have owned this one the R3T is the best by far the power this thing has is more than enough with the bags and shield its near perfect I say that because I like to make add ons and no bike I will ever own will be perfect but its close almost too close

Thanks for your help. My dealer is offering a fully dressed red/black for the same price as a R3T, so I won't have to get any more "bits" initially to equip it like the R3T. he's offering them both at £10,999, it should be £14,500, so a big discount. With the exchange rate, that would be $18,091 for you. I think we're gonna get the red/black, he's letting us test drive for 3 hours tomorrow so I'll let you know. Last time w etest drove one (red) my wife feet were lifting off the pegs it was so fast. They really are a great bike, aren't they. Looking forward to owning one!!

My Touring will cruise at 100 no problem.

As for power.....well you can do some mods to get close to the Standard / Classic.

Any of the three models will more than enough.

Just curious, what did the dealer "add" to make the (Standard/Classic???) "fully dressed" to make it comparable to the R3T?

Personally I like being able to detach those "touring" parts from my R3 and go street fighting with a lean machine, so for me the extra expense of having to add things that come with the R3T was worth it.
Watch out aroung here, these guys will give you so much to think about you might never be able to decide.:p
But you won't find a more helpful bunch anywhere else.

Welcome! If that exchange rate is correct than that is not a deal at all. A stock R3T is $17,299 USD. This is the MSRP form Triumph. Even if the $18,091 is out the door its still not a good deal. I got mine out the door (dealer prep, tax and Aux light bar) for $17,250 USD. IF your exchange rate is correct this is not a deal. Exchange rate as of today is 10,999 pounds would be $17,878 USD. I must be missing something because thats more than the MSRP for the USA bikes. 14,500 pounds is like $23,573 USD.
So now Im confused by those prices. Will need to dig into this more.

Kmutt, I think he said the dealer threw in some other things to go with it (I imagine at a discount) that made it comparable to the R3T in price, what those items were...he still hasn't mentioned.

Price does seem a little high but he's happy with the deal...that's what counts. Besides dealers in the UK may not play the "I'll beat any price" game like we expect them to here in the US.
