You can always contact Triumph America, and have them check it out.
I'm sure they wouldn't be anymore impressed than you were.
They probably got their sign off ebay the way it sounds.

A few years ago I went to the Harley open house event in Raleigh NC..I rode my Rocket III there and I swear I had the words
HIV...Positive across my forehead. I was there for an hour and not one soul spoke one word to me.

I went back outside and sat on my Rocket for another hour and smoked cigarettes making sure I put ever cig. butt on the ground where I was sitting. Still not one person ever spoke to me.....Oh there were at least 40 + people wearing ID badges.

Before I left I went and found a drink machine and bought me a drink.....I was afraid to try to get a free drink and hot dog they were giving away.

I drank my drink..........picked every cigarette butt I had put on the concrete parking area and put them inside of my drink can...then placed it in the trash bin. Cranked my old rocket tried to hit the rev limiter then slowly rode off just like an old man should.

Now that Harley shop sells triumphs also....but I will never set foot on that ground there again.

I guess once you get a huge following and a famous drag racer you can have a crappy attitude to any one who does not ride a Harley and allow anyone that works there to do the same

It would be interesting to know just what requirements Triumph ask's of the dealers

That they keep ordering stuff. Not just Triumph either.

I had just the opposite. Went to the local Harley shop in Tulsa to buy a oil filter for the Harley. Did it on a Saturday and did not know prior that they were having one of there events. Had not even got off the bike yet and had people giving me the thumbs up and asking questions. Beer was a dollar apiece and under normal conditions do not drink prior to riding but before i even made it inside to buy the oil filter a couple of the local's from a very respective motorcycle club handed me a beer and wanted to talk about the Rocket. Well they ended up handing me quite a few beers. The conversation was great and not one negative comment about the Rocket X. I was really surprised by a few of the folks that had some Knowledge of the Rocket but had never seen one much less the Rocket X. As the conversation's went along and they found out that I also own a Harley even more beers followed. Ended up calling the wife to come and get me. Parked the bike inside the shop and picked it up the next day. Wife was pissed, she had to drive 57 miles to come up to Tulsa and drive my drunk ass home. Had a lot of fun and some good conversation with some pretty good folks. The Harley shop gave me a oil filter when I went up to rescue the Rocket. The wife just gave me a good ass chewing.

Your wife should get down on her knees and thank the good LORD that you had the sense to make that call. You can tell her I said so.

The grave yard is full of people who made the wrong choice.....some were doing absolutely nothing that suffered pain and or death.

Ask her if you had killed 2 or 3 small children for a car having to make an extreme move that caused that car to wreck

I have had two DUI's in my life time. Both on bikes. Last one was many moons ago but totaled the bike. After that have been very careful. I do like my beer but refuse to drink and ride. Went on up to help a guy out a few weeks ago and he offered me a beer, took water instead. I watch some folks drink and ride and realize that there time has not happened yet. My time did happen and learned from it.

Good on ya man. I've dealt with 5 different T dealers with various shades of quality ranging from "oh hell no" to pretty good.

I would suggest, if you can't find a Triumph dealer worth a crap, go to the nearest official Ducati dealer. They're accustomed to prissy, finicky, needy customers that will call them out on even a new dust spot on their paint job. Most Triumph riders align closer to the Duc crowd than the HD crowd in my experience when it comes to beeing needy customers. I count myself in that group, the work better be flawless and no damage and my bike washed before returning it, because that's how I treat my bike, let alone a customers.

The Triumph USA brand will die a horrible slow death if they don't eventually fix the **** dealership situation in the USA. It's pathetic that they haven't partnered with KTM or Guzzi or Ducati or Aprilla to establish a quality chain of euro bike sales and service centers and instead whore their name out to anyone with a building and a check.
