You Texas and Florida fellows should enjoy hearing this. We are looking at around 24 inches of snow this weekend. Should shut this area down for quite awhile. The Wife forgot beer at the grocery store, she is probably looking at some heavy probation time at the very least.

Are you in the Roanoke area?

BTW, I think that probation may be too light a sentence for your dear bride!;)

1AM in Delaware ... Looks like it will snow any minute, but nothing yet. This morning the news was talking 1/2 inch, now the map is PURPLE! I thought purple was something they threatened little kids with when they were bad. "Be good or 14" of snow will bury your ass".:p

I've never seen a Purple weather map!!!

I LIVE on the I-95 corridor, .... SEND BEER AND FOOD!!!!

24 inches!!!!??????? Is that all??? I had a joke here somewhere but it got lost. Up here in central ny if that 24 inches came before the buses were to run and they were able to get a plow down it would not stop a thing. Also my place of work does not accept the weather as an excuse to be late! No matter how much snow fell. Last year we has 10FT of snow fall in a week...yes thats 10FT!!! So I sympathize with ya cause that much snow in one drop is a pain in the arse to deal with. But since I work in a beer manufacturing plant (yes thats beer:bch:) I say............let it snow!!!! :D

We don't typically get alot of snow at one time here ... except today! Stuck a yard stick in the snow on our patio table and it's over 20 inches. Blew the driveway and sidewalks but still can't get out of the driveway, Mini Coopers aren't much for snow, especially when it's over the headlights.

If the streets don't get plowed tomorrow, send an air-drop with beer! :p

My family is from Utica/Syracuse. I'm well versed in snow. What scares me down here are the other drivers and lack of ability of VDOT to cope with large amounts of snow. It's very seldom we have a winter with more than 6 inches of snow at once let alone 26 inches.
