Just went to the darkside today. Took about 20 miles of twisting roads around the county lake to get the feel for it, but I think I'm going to like it.

The guy that did the change took it for a test drive and hated it, said I would be back within the week to have him change it back, but I don't think so.

Those Wide-O's look like they have a nice rounded profile from the online photo's. Please do let us know how it works out for ya ....

that new tire looks sharp. give us an update after you get used to it. i also hope you're able to prove the tire changing person wrong.

Be sure to adjust the weight up an down till you find the "sweet spot".
For example I'm 175 lbs. run mine at 28 psi.
TDragger is a little heavier than me and runs a little more air in his.
You'll know when you find the sweet spot,
cause you won't have to fight it,
it'll ride and corner like it was born on there.
Congrats and welcome to the darkside..
Cookies will be handed out at RAA 6...

180? What do you do when the wind come crashing down the plains?

Once you get used to the counter steer it's all gravy. The biggest difference is when you go down rutted roads, it has a tendency to wander. But as long as you're willing to steer the bike it will behave. I took mine over the 'dragon' and back and was able to run away from a VTX with bike tires on it. As Darth said, "You don't know the power of the Dark Side (until you ride it like it was stolen)"

BTW you have to submit a dozen government forms for the cookie. It comes in a hermetically sealed envelope and has a WWII government surplus stamp on it. It went stale in 1947. Enjoy.:D

Thanks for the welcome and advice.

Stale government issued cookies, now that brings back some memories.

I'm 230lbs and running it at 33psi now which seems fairly comfortable, I will make a point of playing with that a bit to see how it changes.

I haven't had the opportunity to take it out and really push it yet, but so far for just riding around town I have no complaints.
