Where are you going on your Rocket?

Maybe this could be a run on thread...post when you have a ride worth noting coming up.

As for me, it's a toss up, either I will take a three day trip of about 700 miles up to Frostburg, over to Barboursville, and down Route 60 along the Kanawha River.

Or I might do a two day, with the trip heading through coal country, and up into Barboursville, and then down Route 60.

Should come off the first week of August either way, and so much better the trip if my nephew can come. Being 16 he has much he is expected to accomplish for one thing and another so that may not happen.

My next road trip will most likely be to Mayberry days in September. All my other plans have fallen through for this year except for a one nighter at Gettysburg bike week last weekend.

I do every chance I can.

My dream trip is to ride all the way to Key West, Florida. I was stationed in the Army down in Louisiana and I miss the south. I'd like to take my time across the country until I reached the most southern spot in the continental US. I'm looking at retiring soon so hopefully this will happen in the next year or so.

A more realistic trip would be to ride up to Washington and ride Highway 1 all the way down to San Diego. I think riding North to South would be neat because it would keep the ocean closer to me the whole time.

I would like to visit Canada some time and I would like to get up NORTH! To ALASKA! and go all the way up to the Northern Coast to Prudhoe Bay.

I would also like to cruise around and meet some forum members. There are some cool people here and it would be neat to share a meal and drink.

I like the idea of that trip myself. US 1 is one stop light after another...but if I got the time, that's the way I'll go. There's things there that you would not see otherwise!
