What's the point?

Not the one I sat on . . not much difference although they say it is lower. I sat on both on the showroom floor and there couldnt have been more than an inch difference at most.

I'm 5' 10" and my knees were bent and feet flat on the ground on the T-Bird. I have a Corbin seat on the R3 which is pretty wide. That could make it feel higher. However, I thought that U-turning in a tight space was a lot easier than on the Rocket. Maybe that's because of the wider bars. I have Ultra Classic pullbacks.

Could be . . I was sitting on both the T-bird and R3 in the showroom. My FBG has a day-long seat so I cant stand flat footed unless I have riding boots on.

Try to get a test drive on a T-Bird. Nice bike, although I didn't car fr the stock bars, seat, or mufflers. What's an FBG?

But when I first heard a Rocket, I was very disappointed. No thump at all. It looked like a beast, but to me, sounded like 1960s' Corvair.

I have the Jardines with the baffles still intact and although it doesn't Have the John Deere/Hardley sound, I still set off 5 car alarms in a 10 block stretch at 30 mph in 3rd gear.
