what's involved in changing the wheels?

I've said I would have a pair of second hand wheels and would then get them powder coated for £90. But I thought I would ask a Triumph dealer how much to fit bearings and swap the disks over. He's quoting £245 plus £50 labour. This makes the whole exercise pointless. He's quoted for new bearings (at my request) but then reckons new seals and new disk bolts are needed
Whaddya think?

New bearings and seals are a must - you can reuse the disk bolts.

If you can change a wheel on a pushbike and are generally 'practical' with tools....? the wheels and disks (and rear drive rubber maybe?) are a simple job - use the workshop manual on here (Bishop's tagline) and it should be a doddle!
 
x2 , do it yourself the bearings and seals are about £100, and the discs are so easy a child could change them, once you remove the seals just take out the circlips and then offset the spacer tube between the bearings and tap them out.


£245 for bearings and seals :nopity:
