What I learned today, Neutral switch

Wow. It was that easy.

I have been having troubles with my neutral light flickering and not being on in neutral. Took it to the dealer 3 times under warranty, they would adjust, last about a day.

So I tackled it.

See the pictures below. See that rubber boot with the little tab that is resting right up to where the neutral switch mounts? Well, it used to be a half inch longer. Which put it between the switch and the case. Which set the switch at an angle. Which was just enough to cause poor contact to properly work. Was affecting the gear indicator of the other gears as well I believe cause she runs smoother and pulls better now.


That's all it was. Thought I'd share. A pair of scissors and 20 minutes. I did what 3 techs could not. HHMMM.

And don't nobady tell me I ned to wash my bike. I went on some backroads today. It was beautiful out.
 
And folks wonder why my bike has not seen the inside of a dealership since I bought it. Could be the children that work at them and certain performance centers.
