Bought myself a new laptop today since the old one went tits up on Christmas day

Unfortunately, I got to watch my parent's house burn to the ground. They are recently in a nursing home and as far as we know, nobody was inside. But 150 years of family memorabilia is now gone.
The utilities were off so no easy cause of the fire. It is being treated as suspicious.
