Congratulations you have reached MY body's supposedly ideal BMI weight as I was advised when having a medical on my first permanent job 40 years ago.

A friend in Gosford this week said I had lost weight since she was down here mid June and I just got on the scales and had a shock. I am only 140Kg (310 lb), I was 164Kg (360 lb) last year and still 149Kg (328 lb) a month or so ago.

Just eased off the booze for a few months since start of June. I had a few lapses in spirits the past week with @Longrider and with me mate Fletch in Yamba but my lifelong imbibing habit seems to have disappeared with no effort at all. I have no intention of stopping drinking entirely and no real need but it is good to see how easy the weight is to drop - without an iota of exercise too!

You have been an inspiration @BigNorm , never consulted but admired from afar.

She may have been giving you a compliment on your buff body and just giving her opinion on what you had to spare of what was most useful to her or, she was a geek that knew your head was only half that 20 lb you wanted gone.

After all 'Adonis', it was 35 years ago.

Oh, what could have been another 'match in heaven' dashed by communication failure between genders, unless you really do have a fat head.
