Washing and tire wear.

Took couple of hours to get this beast spotless. Wish Big T would have clear-coated the wheels. A real
pain cleaning the wheels with metal polish and towel. About to change front and rear tire. Does 7k on a
set sound normal? Does the new 2.5 have coated wheels?

Not sure what tire brand you have on, but my Avon's get about 8-10K miles; rider spirit dependent. So that's a bit low but not too far outside the norm on the low side. Some folks get 12-15K with other brands, but I love the grip and confidence of the Avon Cobra Chromes.
