does changing the foot pegs on the GT to the mid position allow for more or less lean angle, I still have the forward pegs on my GT but placed as far back as they can go and i have to keep changing the little nubbys on the bottom of the foot pegs every year, if i don't i would probably have the foot pegs completely ground away by now

From what I've read the R position gives slightly better lean angle but probably not enough to notice. That said, going from GT to R is like riding a whole different bike in a good way IMO. Glad I made the switch.
