I must say your Rocket Touring is a beautiful bike. The black and white have the classic retro kind of look that I really like. It’s like a Speedmaster on steroids. To me the touring is the best looking Rocket and the only model of Rocket I haven’t owned. Very Nice
I might just get that paint job done on mine. Mine is black, so the base is there. I do agree; it really is nice, like an old jukebox. Memories of saner days where life was steady Don't see many about in the UK, either on the roads or the FB forums. I'll have to check for a good place to have it done. It will be about a £1000 I should think.
1st gear and 2600 rpm should only be used when absolutely necessary, gonna need you ro send it up to 5000rpms as swiftly as possible, let it fly into 2nd gear repeating the process. A rocket was not built to feel a vibration in your butt at 2600rpm in 1st. Send it Doug! Ride that thang, and never again in 1st gear at 2600rpm youve been warned"
Today I was on the road... minding my own business... doing +- 100 mph. Out of the blue a Rocket came by at blistering speed... My first thought was it is Doug (Junior)!! He took Kevin's warning to heart! Ghmfff!

Yeah it does. Got out on it again for a couple hours after work today. It's gonna be a fun one. I think I'm in love.
Kinda feel like I'm being unfaithful to the old girl (motorcycle not wife).

Yes agree, takes a bit of work to make the new gen. bikes as comfortable for long miles. I know because I've been spending all summer trying to do it. But happy to say I think its almost done.

I've not had mine long. When I bought it, I rode it back, 170 miles. It came with a gel seat, the first for me Having read that gel is going out of fashion for various reasons, one being that the pads move about. I was impressed with the comfort. It felt like riding to the corner shop and back. I've tried Corbyn and absolutely don't rate them. Anyway, I got that off my chest; now back to riding.
Took the bike out today since its a nice 40°F day out and finally not super windy like its been the last couple weeks. I do feel the vibration in the seat and pretty much everywhere else if you look for it. First 3 gears have always been where all the vibration is at then smooths out in 4th.
Previously I really only noticed it in the handle bars and through the mirrors. In any case its worth the compromise of being a little buzzy. Now that I have R position pegs I really wish I would have changed them before the end of the season. Spent an hour on the bike and it sooo much fun.
