Vandemon cans and headers.

I'm going to fit the Vandemon decat can to my GT (the open non-switchable one) and I'm thinking about adding the titanium headers as well. I really like the look of the stock headers but Vandemon say they're quite restrictive.

I'll be having a full custom remap afterwards so might as well go the whole way with the exhaust. Anyone fitted the full system and do Vandemon's performance claims add up?

I’ve been thinking about doing the same and would love to see what the results are from others. I have a 2024 though so I think I have to wait on the headers cause they aren’t compatible yet if I understand things correctly. I’ll also probably go stainless and the switchable exhaust.

I think I'll just do it. I know Vandemon from KTM Adv ownership and they're one of the best aftermarket makers out there. You don't pay a massive premium for the name either. I think their system is good value.
I'll get the titanium headers because they shed heat better than stainless. And the blue looks cool..

I do as little urban riding as possible so I don't to pay extra for the switchable and though I haven't heard their pipe in the metal, on the vids it does sound a lot better than less offensive than most, especially the Chrome Werkes which is too loud for me.

Undecided on a dyno shop. BHPUK at Burnley have mapped quite a few Rockets. Don't know much about them but they're getting good results.
I've had a good many bikes remapped and I've seen how different individual bikes of the same make and model can be so I always favour custom mapping over pre-written downloads.

I’m interested as well to see the difference in heat deflection. On the titanium headers they appear to angle differently than stock by how they look/sit on the bike but I’m not sure if the stainless are positioned the same way or not.

I have the Vandemon non-switchable slip-ons. They nailed the sound. Very reasonable when mindful of the throttle but crack it open and it roars. Everybody knows that the stock headers are constricted for Euro 5. Open that beast up!

Take a look at all the pics for the various R3 options on Vandemon's website, the stainless and titanium headers are of the same design. It's just the material and finish that changes.

Titanium disperses heat better than stainless. They'll reach the same temperature but titanium will shed it better as you ride. You'll probably detect little difference when sitting in traffic in 35 degree summer heat but on the gas titanium should maintain a lower and more stable temperature in the headers which will improve flow. Though you'll never feel the difference through your seat-of-the-pants dyno.
Titanium is a tougher material. More resistant to marking and staining and it will maintain it's finish without discolouring - apart from the blueing effect you get after the first heat cycle.

I should add, I'm going with the slip-on non-bimodal mufflers, not the side-mounted Stealth twin cans. I prefer the look of the slip-ons.

I messaged Vandemon today asking about compatibility with their headers and mufflers and they said that Euro 5 2024 models have two O2 sensors instead of one sensor for earlier models and it’s not compatible yet with two O2 sensor models. They also said that US models don’t always adopt Euro 5 specs and mine could be compatible if I just have one O2 sensor.

So my question is how do I check? Is it VIN based or something a dealership could tell me or does it require a physical inspection of some kind?

My ‘22 has one. You can see/feel it on the right pipe about halfway back on the upper backside.

So guessing the exhaust has to be removed and the sensor(s) is towards the bottom of the header?
