Just fitted one of those driver utopia backrests. Easy to fit on the Rivco chromed rack( pillion seat replacement rack). We did 350kms yesterday, & they were the comfiest riding miles EVER! no hint of my usual back pain! wish I'd bought one ages ago!!!.
Riding terrain; mostly twisty, bumpy, backroad sportsbike stuff.
Yea, I mounted one in 2009 for my cross country trip, made it a breeze for 400 mile days. Now I just can't seem to get myself motivated to take it back off.
Cant say what the benefits over the Triumph backrest.I have the utopia and recommend the after sales service and the product. If youre coming on the S.A Salvo ,Zim, you can stickybeak my backrest .
i would say one of the grreat combos to run is the Throttlemeister http://throttlemeister.com/ cruise control on the handlebar and the back rest.YOu can take your hand off the throttle and lean into the backrest.Awesome. Stops you sliding backwards under heavy acceleration ,Bones?
I got the Triumph backrest a few weeks back, easier on the shoulders. The OEM backrest was $99 and the classic seat a $150 approx new from the dealer,so no excuse not to have one.
