Bad enough the car pulled out, but to just stop like that. :mad: Bloody moron. Hope he got the sh#t kicked out of him.
 
It looks like the bike was going a tad faster than he should have been as well. He is very fortunate to be able to walk away.
 
The rider did exactly the right thing though, none of that idiot "I had to lay the bike down"... he kept the rubber down and scrubbed off as much speed as possible.
 
My favorite part is that, post crash, the first thing he's thinking about is the bike, making a b-line to shut it off right after getting up.

If he was more attentive, doesn't it appear he could have slowed down more or swerved to either side?

That's funny. I rather think he was going round to "thank" the driver. ;)
He probably could have missed the car - if it hadn't stopped right in front of him.

Right thing ?? he overtook a car which was approaching an intersection .. said car blocked vision of the turning vehicle , the one the bike hit .. if that's right I'd hate to see wrong !!!
