Unusual tire wear

Here's some pics of my original Mets rear taken off at 4800 miles. Three flat surfaces, guess I run as much on the sides as I do on the bottom. The new Bridgestones's are mounted, front is on but waiting to get new brake pads and the o-ring that seals the rear diff before finishing this project. Also found the dealer did not put high temp silicon sealer on the joint between the Jardine's header and the rest of the exhaust. Guess I've had an exhaust leak for the last 4000 miles. BTW mounted the tires myself, not easy but do able, bought the tires online both for $260.76 at Chaparral Motorsports shipped.

Yes the Bridgestone is mounted, that's the reason for the difference in tire size.

Going by what I have learnt on here that is pretty normal tyre wear, both mine were like it when replaced recently.

I have to say the 'flats' on mine weren't quite so pronounced - maybe different riding styles.

Looks as if you apply generous amounts of throttle and if you live between Wake County and the coast the asphalt will eat the softer Metz up quickly. Ride to the mountains and even out the tire wear .

Your rear brake pads needing replaced means you use too much rear brake. The tire being squared off just shows how much time you spend at one angle. I would assume you have some twisty roads (lucky bastard).

What tire pressure did you have?? Looks like it may have been to low.

Bridgestones are AWESOME

I've kept 42 in the rear and 36 front since I've owned the bike, was a dealer demo when I bought it so can't say what they did, maybe doughnuts and had the flat sides to start with? I had to counter steer ALOT with the Metz, now she glides through the corners with no counter steering at all. Love these stones so far but only about 100 miles.

I Used Ride On to balance with no weights and have had no vibrations so far, really smooth ride, hopefully will also protect from flats. Caught a nail on the rear of my Ultra at 55mph with the other half on the back and it was pretty squirrely till I got it to the side of the road. Course that was a tubed tire so the deflation was pretty quick.

My first impression is AWESOME for the Stones.

Might see some of Ya'll on the Diamondback tomorrow.

Yea the mountains call me. I have been consciously trying to use the front brakes more. Also put the High Temp Silicon (Copper) on the Jardine's header, let sit for 24 hours, noticeable difference in sound, not sure if I've been listening to a leak or not but I can tell a difference in the sound. No exhaust leak now. **** Dealers!

I'm fortunate to be able to leave my drive and be in the mountains in 45 mins all on country roads. Love these Bridgestone's !!! Got about 500 miles on them so far and can't believe the difference. Highly Recommend.
