U all quit braking sh#t

Well, I guess we could talk about the weather or fishin'.

Rocket owners as a group tend to do a lot of their own work and that may be one reason a lot of stuff like that gets posted. Some really aren't complaints, but more like tech bulletins on problems that pop up. As the population of Rockets gets older and more and more emerge from warranty coverage many captains begin to search for answers to some of the problems that pop up.

Crap... a bunch of these problems are self inflicted, but who cares. Its all good and I actually have fun working on mine. When I screw something up we all laugh and I get out the check book and make it right. There's no need to re-invent the wheel with this group so it helps to post causes and fixes so some other poor schmoe can avoid my mistakes or maybe it will help him to diagnose his problem easier and quicker and more accurately.

Some people just go "Chicken Little" though. Its kind of funny.

My bike has been trouble free since the fall of 2004, so that ain't bad

man,
you guys are HARD on a defenseless old man ain't ya?
I already said along time ago what I thought, the first time I pulled up and saw my rock sitting there glistening in the Mississippi sun.
Man, thats UGLY, and I can get on board with ugly...
But don't you old codgers forget, I've seen ya'll too and ya'll calling me ugly (although admittedly a true statement) is alot like the pot calling the kettle black ain't it?

I resemble my R3T. It's as big as a house and so am I. I probably weigh more.

As far as breaking stuff, I'm all for not having anymore of that. I got my Rocket back today and here's to hoping for many trouble free miles from here on out.

Yes things can and do go wrong with the best of makes. I just heard that you should not go out of range of a cell tower on a BMW. And Dennis I will show you the frame that used to be your bike after we got done with parts borrowing. Sad really, but the parts still work. Scot in Exile likes the windshield and I borrowed your seat, I don't know the guys name that got the speakers but you don't have to worry about that horn anymore. All taken care of.

Baggage, you and Scot are so good to me...what can I say but thanks. Xhdskip, I read your post and lo and behold there was a picture of you to the right sitting on your Rocket out in the country somewhere I suppose. Your a little better looking than me but not by much...wish I was as skinny...I mean "lean". By the way you should see Baggage1, he's hard not to miss....so the nails in the road tell me.

Thanks. I've got about 24,000 on mine with no problems so far. I just had to laugh yesterday, I think all but but two of the post were complaints.

What makes it worse is that without having a bike to ride while the Rocket is getting fixed, the more time we have to complain on the internet. And there does seem to be a rash of problems going around lately.

Dennis,
Thanks for the compliment, but Flip and the guys already hurt my sensitive feelings.
And ya'll know how sensitive I am.
UGLY, yea I'm pretty sure I qualify, BUT, it don't bother me none, cause I'm way over 50 and lived to see it, so my brothers, its ALL GOOD.
And personally, I can't wait to see most of ya old codgers and young whippersnappers again and meet some of the ones I haven't met yet.
In the meantime,
ya'll ride safe.

a song for you

Reminds me of the old song from YMCA day camp:

I know how ugly I are.
My face it don't shine like no star.
But I do not mind it,
For I am behind it.
It's the guy out in front gets the jar!

Snuffy,
mine may be ugly, but runs strong.
no complaints here...

Great summation.

Dammit skippy, had I known you were so sensitive, I'll be more PC on our next visit, and maybe more polite....NOT!
